I celebrate today and am holding on to it as the last I had to share the Earth with such a noble and gifted human being, a mentor and friend to so many. I am breathing every breath with full appreciation for how it connects me to him on this day.
Thanks everyone for a an excellent class tonight. We did it right and I feel especially grounded because of our Aikido community. Thanks to Sensei Mike for being ready, willing, and profoundly able, to Sarah for keeping it all together, and to all Sempai and students for this living, breathing, moving river, Aikido. Our dojo is a well built train, and it may require each of us to learn a few more stations to keep it running, but we have been trained to do so, and I find comfort in knowing that we will. Chris
I am happy that you continued with last night's class. My Prayers for a safe passage for Sensei Don and for all of you. We must do our best to share with others what he has so freely given us - his gratitude, compassion, respect and service - we must share this with others, in this way we will keep Sensei Don in our hearts always.

ReplyDeleteThoughts are with you all. I'm a Shintaido practitioner who has appreciated the special space you all have created there...
